Child Care Stabilization Grants by the New York State OCFS

 

The New York State Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS) has started to accept applications for child care stabilization grants through the federal American Rescue Plan Act and the Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations (CRRSA) Act.

The purpose of the Child Care Stabilization Grant is to provide child care providers with financial relief to help cover the unexpected business costs caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, in hopes to stabilize operations and provide ongoing childcare. The funds are distributed in six-monthly payments and can be used for purposes allowed under the Federal guidelines.

Who is eligible?

Child care providers must be in good standing and be one of the OCFS licensed programs:

  • Day Care Centers (DCC)

  • Group Family Day Care (GFDC)

  • OCFS registered programs

    • School Age Child Care (SACC)

    • Family Day Care (FDC)

    • Small Day Care Centers (SDCC)

  • Enrolled Legally Exempt Group Programs

    • Must be enrolled with an enrollment agency

What Do You Need?

Make sure you have the following information before applying:

  • Childcare license/enrollment information including legal name and contact information

  • Estimated monthly expenses

  • Bank information for direct deposit

  • Driver’s license or state-issued ID
